Mr. Wright graduated from University of Kentucky in 1988. He has been in the pharmacy profession for 25 years and has owned Butterfield Drugs for 17 years. Mr. Wright has been on the Board of APCI for 2 years. He has served as an Elder at First Church of God and as a National Advisor for Good Neighbor Pharmacy. Most recently, David was appointed to the McKesson National Independent Advisory Board. He is married to Joy (for 25 years) and they have three teenage daughters, Jessica, Lindsey and Shannon.
Russ graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. He has also completed the Nuclear Pharmacy Authorized User program at Ohio State University. He has had a diversified career in pharmacy, where he has worked as Pharmacy Manager for a retail supermarket pharmacy, part time for an independent compounding pharmacy and hospital pharmacy, as well as nuclear pharmacy. Russ has been a member of the Butterfield's team since 2007.
Claire graduated as a Pharmacist in South Africa in 1987, and worked in both retail pharmacy for various independent pharmacies, where her love and appreciation for independent pharmacy was cultivated and blossomed; and later became involved in cancer research at HF Verwoerd Teaching Hospital in Pretoria, South Africa
After immigrating to the USA in 1995, she was accredited by FBGEE and obtained her license in NC to practice pharmacy. She was P.I.C. at a locally owned independent pharmacy in Rocky Mount, NC for 10 years. During this time, Claire became actively involved in diabetes educaction through her involvement with the Asheville Project, for 7 years.
After moving to Florida, Claire was introduced to Butterfield's Pharmacy, where she is now Pharmacy Manager. Claire obtained AADE accreditation for the Butterfield's Diabetes Education Center, which keeps her busy doing what she loves - working for a wonderful independent pharmacy and being actively involved in helping patients achieve positive health outcomes.
Claire enjoys the personal patient interaction that independent pharmacy allows, and derives immense satisfaction through helping patients by way of Medication Therapy Management and Diabetes Education.
In her spare time, Claire spends peaceful hours in her art studio where she can relax and create at a leisurely pace.
Patti spent twelve years with Walgreens as a pharmacy technician, during which time she completed her undergraduate studies at IRSC. Moving on to receive her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Palm Beach Atlantic University, Patti then held the role of Hospital Pharmacy Director for Sebastian River Medical Center for ten years. Patti is a native of Vero Beach and loves the Florida sunshine. Patti and her husband, Roger, have four adult sons and spend most of their spare time re-purposing pallets, relaxing by the pool and playing with their “fur babies” (dogs). “The purpose of continuing my pharmacy career and becoming a pharmacist was to take every opportunity I am given and show that I care about all patients. As a community pharmacist, I am able to interact with and help patients with their health and well-being. I'm also in a position to assist caretakers with their needs in caring for others.”
